Eli Wakamatsu is an internationally renowned makeup artist and beauty consultant.
Born and raised in Japan, Eli moved to London in the '80s, and was responsible for creating makeup for the iconic 1998 Prada campaign images with model Angela Lindvall.
She has worked closely with numerous high-end luxury labels, namely Prada, Fendi, Karl Lagerfeld, Miu Miu, YSL and Alexander McQueen, iconic fashion editorial stories for The Face and Dazed & Confused, and countless celebrity clients for public appearances and photo shoots.

Some of Eli’s recent clients include Stella McCartney x Adidas, Netflix, Mother of Pearl, Net a Porter, Timberland, Nike, Clarks, Virgin, British gas x Team GB, The Bodyshop, Dove,  Zara, Absolut Vodka, Paul Smith, Daks London, Agent Provocateur, John Lewis. 

Her makeup has appeared recently in publications such as Harper’s Bazaar, Wonderland, 10 Manazine, The Guardian, Financial Times How to Spend it, Lula, Numero France, Marie Claire Italia, Make Magazine, Also Journal, Fucking Young Magazine and more.

Eli is an experienced consultant collaborating with many beauty brands who seek her unique insights into understanding consumer needs and the ever-evolving makeup trends. She is also highly sought after by cosmetic companies, market researchers  and trade organisations for her intrinsic ability to analyse trend forecasts. 

She has experience in developing a natural skincare line with a team in Paris before the pandemic and remains available and interested in consulting with brands who have ethical and sustainable production at heart. 

When not working, Eli can usually be found  hanging out with her beloved Shiba Inu, Momo!
